A Rocky Situation

So i planned this out way back in May and I had it set up to start working on but then I decided to work on some other stuff and kinda put this on the back burner for a while. A few paintings and some animations later Im back to it and here is the blocking! Enjoy!

Monsters Under my Bed / New Times

So October is just around the corner again and that means its time for another Tate's local artists show!
This years theme is childhood fears. This show is gonna be BIG! Over 200 artists are participating this time around.

Heres the flyer for the show

I have decided to start branding myself as Bruckaroni so from now on all my paintings and artwork will be signed as bruckaroni. Unless the painting is too small then I will be signing it like I signed my nerd painting. This flyer is the first flyer with that name!

Today I got contacted by a local entertainment newspaper New Times. They are doing a preview and write up for the show. They are going to be using my painting in the preview! Print and on their blog. This is super exciting news to me.  So I will post that article as soon as its published.

I have also been working on a new animation and the blocking for that should be up within the next couple of days!

Strictly for the Nerdcore

I just randomly did this painting the other day. My friend was feeling down in the dumps and going away to college so i decided to make her a little something for her dorm room. Its really small only 4x 5 but im pretty happy with how it turned out! Its got my new signature on it for small paintings. I also developed a new signature for my larger paintings as well.

Alright so this character was originally sketched while I was talking to some douche bag car salesman. 



Then I went ahead and refined him a bit to look like this



Then i put it in photoshop to get a rough idea for color



and now for the final product!

11 secoond club final!

So I finished my piece in time and i was pretty satisfied with it. 233 people entered this month! I knew i wouldn't win but i though maybe id get top 20. Things didnt work out that way. The one that won tho was awesome i thought that one would win. So I ended up placing 112 place which is right about in the middle but compared to what was entered I feel like i should have been placed higher. Oh well at least I have a new piece for my demo reel!

This month ill be working on a new painting or illustration for the upcoming Tates Monsters under my bed show. Its a childhood fears show and I have a clown character I like that im gonna probabaly use. Ill post more about it later gotta get ready for work! Hope you enjoy the animation

11 second blocking

Alright so I decided to do this months 11 second club. Its something somewhat new to me i dont tend to try and animate subtly and emotionally but im gonna give it my all and see if i can win! or at least make the top 10 thatd be pretty awesome too. Anyways here is my final pass at blocking.

I got about 2 weeks left to finish this. now its time to spline spline spline!

Rejection, Duurassic Park and 11 Second Club

Its been a while since i posted anything. Ill probabaly be updating this thing more often now that im gopnna start getting back into the swing of things again.

Anyways about 3 or so weeks ago I found out i wasnt accepted for the Reel FX apprenticeship however they will be doing it again in February so im gonna just keep on working on improving my reel and hope for the best come next year.

Also a few weeks ago i participated in the Pinkghost Book It show



Im pretty satisfied with how my piece came out. At first i thought it would be weird painting on a book but it was actually pretty fun.

Also I took about a month or so long hiatus from animating but im ready to get back into it and start improving my demo reel and skills. Im anxiously awaiting to find out what the new 11 sec club sound clip will be for july and if i like it then that will be my new project. If not ill be going back to my rock project i started a while back. Either way there will be more updates coming!
